Glad to announce my involvement to develop and co-curate a new Project Space in the heart of Venice with colleague Jacek Ludwig Scarso as part of the Marta Czok Foundation.
Launched in conjunction with the 2023 Architecture Biennale and an official site for the 2024 Venice Art Biennale, Project Space Venezia brings works of the artist Marta Czok into dialogue with international artists, cultural organisations, researchers and thinkers.
Newly launched in our Project Space for the second part of an exhibition on The Rise and Fall of the Ideal City, a selection of films curated by Anna Marazuela Kim is a collaboration with Takflix, which partners with international organizations to showcase the best of Ukrainian cinema abroad.
Also featured are two recent films by Kyiv-based artists Yarema Malashchuk and Roman Khimei. Taken together, this selection highlights the richness of Ukrainian culture–from its priceless cultural heritage under threat to its cities and ways of life, including artistic, and is presented in solidarity with Ukraine, its cultural workers still in its cities and in exile.
